These days,
archery is popular in the U.S.A because young girls who watched The Hunger
Games movie are influenced by the main character Katniss. The Hunger
Games movie is very popular and the main character Katniss is a female
heroine. It’s a rare situation. And also her role is as a tough, strong, and
very cool girl. Gabby Lee said, “Katniss is so inspiring”. So Katniss is a person
many young girls long to be. There are other reasons. For example, the London
Olympics are coming within 100 days. Also, archery is a less physical sport. Because
of that, young children can start playing easier more than they start hard
physical sports. For these reasons, archery has been popular. As a result of this
situation, many children started archery in schools and backyards. In the Olympics,
television will broadcast the news about archery. Also, archery makes the
relationship between fathers and daughters stronger. That’s because a father
can teach his daughter how to play. The boom in archery popularity will
continue.
